  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (for pan-frying, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) if you’re baking the meatballs.
  2. Mix the Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic, oregano, basil, salt, pepper, and fresh parsley. Mix the ingredients together until just combined—be careful not to overmix.
  3. Form the Meatballs: Using your hands or a small ice cream scoop, form the mixture into meatballs about 1 to 1 ½ inches in diameter. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet, leaving space between each meatball.
  4. Bake or Pan-Fry the Meatballs:
    • Baking Method: Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until they are golden brown and fully cooked through.
    • Pan-Frying Method: Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the meatballs for 4-5 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Serve: Once the meatballs are cooked, remove them from the oven or skillet and let them rest for a few minutes. Serve hot with your favorite sauce, pasta, or on their own with a dipping sauce.
