Two Ingredient Lemon Bars


Description

These 2-ingredient lemon bars are almost too good to be true – one bite of this sweet-tart miracle dessert and you’ll wonder how something so simple can taste this amazing.


Ingredients

  • 1 box (16 oz/454g) angel food cake mix
  • 1 can (21 oz/595g) lemon pie filling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 or 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving overhang on the sides.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the angel food cake mix and entire can of lemon pie filling.
  3. Gently fold the ingredients together until no dry patches remain, being careful not to overmix.
  4. Pour the batter into your prepared pan and spread evenly into the corners.
  5. Tap the pan gently on the counter a few times to release any large air bubbles.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the top is light golden and springs back when touched gently.
  7. Allow to cool completely in the pan for 1-2 hours.
  8. Use the parchment paper handles to lift the bars out of the pan and cut into squares.
  9. For best presentation, dust with powdered sugar before serving.
