Strawberry Pretzel Dessert

Description

Discover how to make a delicious Strawberry Pretzel Dessert with a crunchy crust, creamy filling, and fresh strawberry topping. Perfect for any occasion!

Ingredients

Scale
  • For the crust:
    • 2 cups pretzels (crushed)
    • ¼ cup granulated sugar
    • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • For the filling:
    • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
    • 1 cup granulated sugar
    • 8 oz whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
  • For the topping:
    • 6 oz strawberry gelatin (Jell-O)
    • 2 cups water
    • 1 ½ cups fresh strawberries (sliced)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the Crust: In a medium bowl, mix the crushed pretzels, sugar, and melted butter until the pretzels are fully coated. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish. Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 10 minutes, then remove and set aside to cool.
  3. Make the Filling: In a mixing bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Gently fold in the whipped topping, mixing until fully combined. Spread the mixture evenly over the cooled pretzel crust.
  4. Prepare the Topping: In a separate bowl, dissolve the strawberry gelatin in 2 cups of boiling water. Stir until completely dissolved, then let it cool to room temperature. Once cooled, add the sliced strawberries and stir gently.
  5. Assemble the Dessert: Pour the gelatin mixture over the cream cheese layer in the baking dish, spreading the strawberries evenly across the surface. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours, or overnight, to allow the gelatin to set.
  6. Serve: Once the dessert has chilled and set, slice it into squares and serve chilled. Enjoy!
