Dinner in your slow cooker never tasted so good! This tender chicken smothered in rich, savory gravy is what comfort food dreams are made of.

- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
- 2 packets (0.87 oz each) chicken gravy mix
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1½ cups low-sodium chicken broth
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon dried thyme (optional)
- 2 tablespoons butter, cut into small pieces
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Whisk together gravy packets, cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and thyme in a bowl until smooth.
- Lightly grease your slow cooker insert with cooking spray.
- Place chicken pieces in a single layer in the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Pour the gravy mixture over the chicken, making sure all pieces are coated. Dot with butter pieces.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 4-5 hours for boneless chicken (6-7 hours for bone-in) until chicken reaches 165°F and shreds easily.
- Remove chicken and shred or slice it on a cutting board.
- Return shredded chicken to the slow cooker, stir to coat with gravy, and cook for another 15-30 minutes.
- Taste, adjust seasoning if needed, and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
