Description
Summertime perfection in a glass. This Peach Lemonade blends juicy fruit with tangy citrus for a refreshing drink that tastes like sunshine.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 large ripe peaches (about 1½ pounds), pitted and sliced
- 1 cup (240ml) freshly squeezed lemon juice (from approximately 6–8 lemons)
- ¾ cup (150g) granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
- 6 cups (1.4 liters) cold water, divided
- Ice cubes for serving
- Fresh peach slices and lemon wheels for garnish (optional)
- Fresh mint sprigs for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Wash, pit, and slice peaches. Place in a blender and puree until completely smooth, about 30-45 seconds. Optionally strain through a fine-mesh sieve for extra smoothness.
- In a small saucepan, combine sugar with 1 cup of water. Heat over medium heat, stirring until sugar completely dissolves (3-5 minutes). Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Juice lemons until you have 1 cup of fresh juice. Strain out seeds and excessive pulp.
- In a large pitcher, combine peach puree, lemon juice, and cooled simple syrup. Stir well, then add remaining 5 cups of cold water and mix thoroughly.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to chill and allow flavors to meld. Serve over ice, garnished with fresh peach slices, lemon wheels, and mint if desired.
