Peach Dump Cake Recipe

Description

This peachy miracle requires just 5 minutes of prep and will have everyone begging for seconds. The hardest part? Waiting for it to cool!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans (15 oz each) sliced peaches in heavy syrup
  • 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (if using fresh peaches)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
  2. Pour the peaches with about 2/3 of their syrup into the prepared baking dish, spreading them into an even layer. Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg if using.
  3. Evenly distribute the dry cake mix over the peach layer, covering the fruit completely.
  4. Arrange the thin slices of butter across the entire surface of the cake mix, spacing them about 1/2 inch apart.
  5. If using, scatter the chopped pecans and sprinkle brown sugar over the top.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes, until the top is golden brown and the edges are bubbling.
  7. Allow to cool for at least 15 minutes before serving.
  8. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for an indulgent dessert experience.
