- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (8–10 oz each)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika (regular or smoked)
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- Optional: ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper for heat
Instructions
- Pat chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Place between plastic wrap or parchment paper and pound to an even ¾-inch thickness.
- Drizzle both sides of chicken with olive oil. In a small bowl, combine all seasonings. Sprinkle mixture evenly over both sides of chicken, pressing gently to adhere.
- Preheat air fryer to 370°F (188°C) for 3-5 minutes. Lightly coat air fryer basket with cooking spray.
- Place seasoned chicken breasts in basket without overlapping, leaving space between pieces.
- Cook for 6 minutes, then flip chicken and continue cooking for 5-7 minutes until internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Transfer chicken to a cutting board and tent loosely with foil. Rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing to allow juices to redistribute.
