Description
This honey garlic shrimp stir fry is what weeknight dinner dreams are made of – quick, saucy, and guaranteed to disappear faster than you can say “seconds please!”
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb (450g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 12 oz (340g) smoked sausage, sliced into ¼-inch rounds
- 4 cups (280g) broccoli florets, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 4 cloves garlic, minced (about 2 tablespoons)
- ¼ cup (85g) honey
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce (low-sodium preferred)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced for garnish
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.
- Heat half the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sausage slices and cook until browned on both sides, about 4-5 minutes total. Transfer to a plate.
- In the same pan, add remaining oil and butter. Once melted, add shrimp in a single layer. Season with salt and pepper. Cook for 1-2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove to plate with sausage.
- Add broccoli to the pan with 2 tablespoons water. Cover and steam for 2 minutes until bright green and crisp-tender.
- Return sausage and shrimp to the pan with the broccoli. Pour the honey garlic sauce over everything and stir to coat evenly.
- Cook for 1-2 minutes until sauce has thickened slightly and everything is well-coated and heated through.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Serve immediately over rice or noodles if desired.
