  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme (or 1 tablespoon minced fresh thyme)
  • 1 teaspoon dried sage (or 1 tablespoon minced fresh sage)
  • 2 pounds ground Turkey-bacon
  • 12 tablespoons avocado or canola oil

Instructions

  1. Step 1– Prepare the Spice Mix
In a small bowl, mix together the salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, sage, and thyme. Set aside.
  2. Step 2– Mix the Meat
Add the ground Turkey-bacon to a large bowl, then add the spice mixture, sugar, and fresh herbs. Mix with your hands until well combined and the spices are evenly distributed.
  3. Step 3– Form the Patties
Divide the mixture into eight portions and shape each into a disc. Use your thumb to create a small divot in the center of each patty. Set aside.

Place a large skillet over medium heat and allow it to come to temperature. Add the oil to the pan.
  5. Step 5– Cook the Patties
Place the patties in the skillet, leaving space between them and cook in batches if necessary. Cook each side for about 5 minutes until browned and crispy. The patties are done when the internal temperature reaches 160°F.

Allow the patties to cool slightly, then serve and enjoy!
