Description
This Halloween Hocus Pocus Punch is what happens when magic meets mixology – a color-changing potion that tastes as enchanting as it looks.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups (16 fl oz) grape juice
- 2 cups (16 fl oz) orange juice
- 4 cups (32 fl oz) lemon-lime soda, chilled
- 1 cup (8 fl oz) blue sports drink
- 1 cup (8 fl oz) grenadine syrup
- 2 cups ice cubes
- Optional: 2 cups (16 fl oz) vodka or white rum for adult version
- Garnishes: gummy worms, plastic spiders, dry ice (handled safely), or fresh berries
Instructions
- Thoroughly chill all liquid ingredients for at least 4 hours before assembly.
- Select clear glass containers to showcase the magical layers effectively.
- Pour the grape juice slowly into the bottom of your container, filling approximately one-fifth.
- Carefully add the blue sports drink by pouring very slowly over the back of a spoon held just above the grape juice layer.
- Using the same back-of-spoon technique, slowly add the orange juice as your third layer.
- Gently add the chilled lemon-lime soda using the same spoon technique.
- For the dramatic finishing touch, carefully drizzle grenadine around the edges, allowing it to create red streaks through the layers.
- Add your spooky garnishes just before serving, and if using dry ice, handle with extreme caution and proper tools.
- If making the adult version, add the alcohol to the lemon-lime soda layer before pouring.
- Serve immediately for maximum visual impact and enjoy the magical color-changing effects.
