- 2 large eggs
- 2 slices of ham (choose your preferred variety, such as deli ham or thick-cut)
- 1 slice of cheese (cheddar, Swiss, or any cheese you like)
- 1 English muffin (or any bread of your choice)
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter (for toasting the bread)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Toast the Bread: Start by slicing the English muffin in half. Toast both halves in a toaster or under a broiler until golden and crispy. While the bread is toasting, you can begin preparing the other ingredients.
- Cook the Ham: Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the ham slices to the skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes per side, or until they’re warmed through and slightly crispy on the edges. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- Scramble the Eggs: In a bowl, crack the eggs and beat them together with a pinch of salt and pepper. Melt a small amount of butter in the same skillet over low heat, then add the eggs. Stir constantly until they’re fully cooked but still soft and creamy.
- Assemble the Sandwich: Place a slice of ham on the bottom half of the toasted muffin, followed by the scrambled eggs. Add a slice of cheese on top of the eggs, and then place the other half of the toasted muffin on top.
- Serve: Serve the Ham Egg & Cheese Breakfast Sandwich immediately while it’s warm. Enjoy with a side of fresh fruit, hash browns, or a hot cup of coffee.
