Ingredients
Scale
- 1 gallon (3.8 liters) lemon-lime soda, chilled
- 64 oz (1.9 liters) white grape juice, chilled
- 2 packages (3 oz each) lime-flavored gelatin powder
- 1 cup (240 ml) boiling water
- 2 cups (480 ml) pineapple juice, chilled
- 1 cup (240 ml) fresh lime juice (about 8–10 limes)
- 1 package (5 oz) gummy worms
- 2 packages (3 oz each) lime gelatin (for the “swamp slime”)
- Black food coloring (for enhanced murkiness)
- 4 plastic gloves, washed thoroughly
- 4 cups (950 ml) fruit punch or cranberry juice
Instructions
- Fill plastic gloves with fruit punch or cranberry juice, secure with rubber bands at wrist, and freeze for 24 hours.
- In a large bowl, dissolve lime gelatin powder in boiling water, stirring for 2 minutes until completely dissolved. Cool for 15 minutes.
- In a large punch bowl, combine the cooled gelatin mixture, white grape juice, pineapple juice, and fresh lime juice. Stir gently to combine.
- Add 2-3 drops of black food coloring for a murkier appearance and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- Just before serving, slowly add the chilled lemon-lime soda.
- Remove frozen hands from gloves by carefully cutting away the plastic and place them in the punch.
- Scatter gummy worms throughout the surface and around the rim of the bowl.
- If using dry ice for effect, carefully add small pieces using tongs (never touch with bare hands).
- Serve immediately in clear cups to showcase the spooky effect.
