Description

The ultimate Halloween punch that looks like toxic waste but tastes like tropical paradise – complete with floating “body parts” that will thrill your guests!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 gallon (3.8 liters) lemon-lime soda, chilled
  • 64 oz (1.9 liters) white grape juice, chilled
  • 2 packages (3 oz each) lime-flavored gelatin powder
  • 1 cup (240 ml) boiling water
  • 2 cups (480 ml) pineapple juice, chilled
  • 1 cup (240 ml) fresh lime juice (about 810 limes)
  • 1 package (5 oz) gummy worms
  • 2 packages (3 oz each) lime gelatin (for the “swamp slime”)
  • Black food coloring (for enhanced murkiness)
  • 4 plastic gloves, washed thoroughly
  • 4 cups (950 ml) fruit punch or cranberry juice

Instructions

  1. Fill plastic gloves with fruit punch or cranberry juice, secure with rubber bands at wrist, and freeze for 24 hours.
  2. In a large bowl, dissolve lime gelatin powder in boiling water, stirring for 2 minutes until completely dissolved. Cool for 15 minutes.
  3. In a large punch bowl, combine the cooled gelatin mixture, white grape juice, pineapple juice, and fresh lime juice. Stir gently to combine.
  4. Add 2-3 drops of black food coloring for a murkier appearance and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  5. Just before serving, slowly add the chilled lemon-lime soda.
  6. Remove frozen hands from gloves by carefully cutting away the plastic and place them in the punch.
  7. Scatter gummy worms throughout the surface and around the rim of the bowl.
  8. If using dry ice for effect, carefully add small pieces using tongs (never touch with bare hands).
  9. Serve immediately in clear cups to showcase the spooky effect.
