- 3 cups (600g) white chocolate chips or chopped white chocolate
- 14 oz (397g) sweetened condensed milk (1 standard can)
- 2 tablespoons (28g) unsalted butter
- 2 teaspoons (10ml) pure vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons (16g) powdered sugar
- 1–2 tablespoons (15-30ml) black food coloring gel
- Optional: ¼ teaspoon almond extract
Instructions
- Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving overhang on all sides, and lightly spray with cooking spray.
- In a medium-sized heavy-bottomed saucepan or double boiler, combine white chocolate, condensed milk, and butter. Heat over low heat, stirring constantly until completely smooth.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract, salt, and almond extract if using until thoroughly incorporated.
- Pour the mixture into your prepared pan, spreading evenly with a spatula.
- Quickly add small dots or thin lines of black food coloring gel across the surface of the fudge.
- Using a toothpick or skewer, gently swirl through the coloring to create ghostly patterns.
- Let stand at room temperature for 30 minutes, then cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Once set, lift the fudge from the pan using the parchment paper handles and place on a cutting board.
- Using a sharp knife warmed under hot water and dried, cut into 1-inch squares or use Halloween-shaped cookie cutters.
- Dust lightly with powdered sugar before serving for an extra ghostly effect.
