Make your Halloween hauntingly sweet with this ghostly vanilla fudge that looks spooky but tastes divine! Perfect for parties or trick-or-treaters who dare to indulge.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups (600g) white chocolate chips or chopped white chocolate
  • 14 oz (397g) sweetened condensed milk (1 standard can)
  • 2 tablespoons (28g) unsalted butter
  • 2 teaspoons (10ml) pure vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons (16g) powdered sugar
  • 12 tablespoons (15-30ml) black food coloring gel
  • Optional: ¼ teaspoon almond extract

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving overhang on all sides, and lightly spray with cooking spray.
  2. In a medium-sized heavy-bottomed saucepan or double boiler, combine white chocolate, condensed milk, and butter. Heat over low heat, stirring constantly until completely smooth.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract, salt, and almond extract if using until thoroughly incorporated.
  4. Pour the mixture into your prepared pan, spreading evenly with a spatula.
  5. Quickly add small dots or thin lines of black food coloring gel across the surface of the fudge.
  6. Using a toothpick or skewer, gently swirl through the coloring to create ghostly patterns.
  7. Let stand at room temperature for 30 minutes, then cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  8. Once set, lift the fudge from the pan using the parchment paper handles and place on a cutting board.
  9. Using a sharp knife warmed under hot water and dried, cut into 1-inch squares or use Halloween-shaped cookie cutters.
  10. Dust lightly with powdered sugar before serving for an extra ghostly effect.
