- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup (85g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup (125g) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup (175g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 4 tablespoons (56g) unsalted butter (for crispy layer)

- 6 cups (180g) crispy rice cereal
- Orange gel food coloring (6-8 drops)
- 1/3 cup (60g) Halloween sprinkles or candies
- 1/4 cup (45g) chocolate chips for drizzling (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper and lightly spray with cooking spray.
- In a medium saucepan, melt 1 cup butter over medium-low heat. Remove from heat, whisk in sugar, then add eggs one at a time, whisking well after each. Stir in vanilla.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together cocoa powder, flour, and salt. Add to wet ingredients and stir just until combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
- Pour brownie batter into prepared pan. Bake 25-30 minutes until a toothpick has a few moist crumbs. Let cool completely.
- For crispy layer, melt 4 tablespoons butter in a large pot. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat and stir in orange food coloring.
- Quickly add crispy rice cereal and stir until evenly coated. Pour over cooled brownies and gently press into an even layer.
- Immediately sprinkle with Halloween candies or sprinkles, pressing lightly to adhere.
- Optional: Melt 1/4 cup chocolate chips and drizzle over top for decoration.
- Allow to set completely (about 2 hours) before cutting into squares.
