Description

Make your Halloween party legendary with this Blood Moon Fudge that looks wickedly creepy but tastes heavenly. Everyone will be asking for your secret recipe!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups (18 oz) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 14 oz sweetened condensed milk (1 standard can)
  • 1/4 cup (4 tablespoons) unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (6 oz) white chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons sweetened condensed milk (additional)
  • 12 teaspoons red gel food coloring
  • 1/4 teaspoon black food coloring (optional)

Instructions

  1. Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving overhang on sides. Lightly grease the parchment.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine chocolate chips, condensed milk, and butter. Heat over low-medium heat, stirring constantly until smooth and fully melted.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and salt until glossy.
  4. Pour chocolate mixture into prepared pan and spread evenly. Tap pan against counter to remove air bubbles.
  5. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine white chocolate chips and 2 tablespoons condensed milk. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring between each, until completely melted.
  6. Stir red food coloring into white chocolate mixture until you achieve a deep blood-red color. Add black food coloring if desired for depth.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of red mixture randomly over chocolate base.
  8. Use a toothpick to create swirls by making circular motions through both layers. Focus on creating one larger swirl for the main “moon” effect.
  9. Let cool at room temperature for 30 minutes, then refrigerate for 2-3 hours until completely set.
