Ingredients
Scale
- 2 medium apples (Honeycrisp, Fuji, or Pink Lady)
- 8 slices prosciutto (thinly sliced)
- 2 tablespoons honey (raw or hot honey preferred)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil or melted butter (for brushing apples)
- 2 ounces goat cheese or brie (for creamy variation)
- Fresh rosemary or thyme (finely chopped for garnish)
- Crushed walnuts or pecans (for added crunch)
- Drizzle of balsamic glaze (for tangy finish)
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Clean and oil the grates to prevent sticking.
- Step 2: Slice the apples into wedges or rounds, about ¼ to ½ inch thick. Remove the core, but keep the peel for texture and structure.
- Step 3: Lightly brush the apple slices with olive oil or melted butter on both sides.
- Step 4: Grill the apples for about 2–3 minutes per side, until grill marks appear and the fruit is tender but not mushy.
- Step 5: Wrap or top the grilled apples with prosciutto. If you prefer the prosciutto crisp, you can lightly grill it separately for 1–2 minutes.
- Step 6: Drizzle with honey right before serving. Add garnishes like herbs, cheese, or nuts if desired.
