4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 2 pounds total)
1 packet (1 oz) ranch seasoning mix
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 cloves garlic, minced (about 1 tablespoon)
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
½ teaspoon kosher salt
¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
- Pat chicken breasts dry with paper towels. If uneven in thickness, pound to an even 1-inch thickness.
- Place chicken in a bowl and drizzle with 1 tablespoon olive oil. Sprinkle ranch seasoning over chicken, massaging to coat all sides. Season with salt and pepper. Let rest 10-15 minutes.
- Heat remaining olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add seasoned chicken breasts to the pan (work in batches if needed). Sear for 5-7 minutes until golden-brown.
- Flip chicken, reduce heat to medium, and cook another 5-7 minutes until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Transfer chicken to a cutting board and tent loosely with foil. Rest for 5-7 minutes before slicing.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
