- 2 cans (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 2 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened to room temperature
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted (4 tablespoons/60g)
- ¼ cup granulated sugar mixed with 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for topping)
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar (optional, for dusting)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth, then add 1 cup sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- Unroll one can of crescent roll dough, keeping it as one sheet, and press it into the bottom of the prepared baking dish, pinching together any perforations.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the dough layer.
- Unroll the second can of crescent dough and carefully place it over the cream cheese layer.
- Pour the melted butter evenly over the top layer of dough, then sprinkle with the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until the top is golden brown and the casserole is set.
- Allow to cool for 20 minutes before slicing.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving if desired.
