- 2 cups (250g) cooked turkey, finely diced
- 2 cups (200g) dried stuffing mix (herb-seasoned works best)
- 1 cup (100g) dried cranberries, roughly chopped
- 1/4 cup (60ml) turkey or chicken broth, plus extra if needed
- 1 large egg, lightly beaten
- 2 tablespoons (30g) butter, melted
- 1 medium onion (about 1 cup/150g), finely diced
- 2 celery stalks (about 1/2 cup/50g), finely diced
- 2 tablespoons fresh sage, chopped
- 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil (for coating before baking)
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat the Oven and Prepare the Baking Sheet Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- Step 2: Sauté Onions and Celery In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and sauté the diced onions and celery until softened and translucent, about 5-7 minutes.
- Step 3: Mix Ingredients Transfer the sautéed vegetables to a large mixing bowl and add the stuffing mix, fresh herbs, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine. Add diced turkey and chopped cranberries, then add the beaten egg and broth. Mix thoroughly until well incorporated.
- Step 4: Form the Stuffing Balls With slightly damp hands, form the mixture into golf ball-sized portions and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Brush or spray each ball with olive oil.
- Step 5: Bake the Stuffing Balls Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, rotating the pan halfway through cooking time. The stuffing balls are done when golden brown on the outside and reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). Let them rest for 5 minutes before serving.
