These cheeseburger sliders are what party legend status is made of – juicy, cheesy, and so addictive you’ll need to make a double batch.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lbs ground beef (80/20 lean-to-fat ratio)
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 24 slider buns or dinner rolls (preferably Hawaiian sweet rolls)
- 12 slices American cheese (or cheddar)
- 1 large white onion, finely diced
- ¼ cup pickle juice
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- Dill pickle chips (optional)
- Shredded lettuce (optional)
- Sliced tomatoes (optional)
- Ketchup and mustard (optional)
- Special slider sauce: ½ cup mayo, 2 tbsp ketchup, 1 tbsp relish, dash of hot sauce (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). In a large bowl, combine ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and pickle juice. Mix gently until just combined.
- Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper. Press meat mixture evenly into the pan, creating a uniform rectangle about ½-inch thick.
- Bake for about 15 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C). Carefully drain excess fat.
- Sprinkle diced onions over the meat, then arrange cheese slices to cover the entire surface. Return to oven for 2 minutes until cheese melts.
- Slice slider buns in half horizontally, keeping them connected. Place bottom half in a large baking dish.
- Transfer the meat and cheese layer onto the bottom buns. Place top buns over the cheese layer.
- In a small bowl, melt butter and stir in sesame seeds, garlic powder, and dried parsley. Brush mixture over the tops of the sliders.
- Cover with foil and bake for 10 minutes. Remove foil and bake 5 more minutes until tops are golden brown.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before cutting along seams to separate. Serve with optional toppings and condiments.
