Ingredients
Scale
- 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 4 cloves garlic, minced (about 1½ tablespoons)
- 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon sriracha or hot sauce (optional)
- ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- Cooking spray
- 1 green onion, thinly sliced (for garnish)
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season lightly with salt and pepper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, garlic, soy sauce, olive oil, lemon juice, sriracha (if using), and black pepper.
- Place salmon in a shallow dish and pour two-thirds of the honey garlic mixture over them, reserving the rest for later. Let marinate while preheating the air fryer.
- Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for 3-5 minutes.
- Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and place salmon fillets skin-side down, ensuring they don’t touch.
- Cook for 7-10 minutes, brushing the reserved honey garlic mixture onto the salmon around the 5-minute mark.
- Check for doneness at 7 minutes – salmon should reach 145°F internal temperature or flake easily with a fork while maintaining moisture.
- Remove carefully with a spatula and let rest for 2-3 minutes before serving.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
