  • 2 pounds (900g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon (15g) brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons (6g) paprika
  • 1 teaspoon (3g) garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon (3g) onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon (5g) salt
  • ½ teaspoon (1g) black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon (1g) dried thyme
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Pat chicken breasts dry with paper towels and pound to even 1-inch thickness if needed.
  2. In a small bowl, combine olive oil, brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, thyme, cayenne (if using), and lemon juice.
  3. Coat chicken thoroughly with seasoning mixture and let rest at room temperature for 15 minutes.
  4. Preheat air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for 3-5 minutes.
  5. Place chicken in air fryer basket without overcrowding and cook for 6 minutes.
  6. Flip chicken and continue cooking for 5-7 minutes until internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  7. Transfer to a plate, tent loosely with foil, and rest for 5 minutes before serving.
