- 2 pounds (900g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) olive oil
- 1 tablespoon (15g) brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons (6g) paprika
- 1 teaspoon (3g) garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon (3g) onion powder
- 1 teaspoon (5g) salt
- ½ teaspoon (1g) black pepper
- ½ teaspoon (1g) dried thyme
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) lemon juice
Instructions
- Pat chicken breasts dry with paper towels and pound to even 1-inch thickness if needed.
- In a small bowl, combine olive oil, brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, thyme, cayenne (if using), and lemon juice.
- Coat chicken thoroughly with seasoning mixture and let rest at room temperature for 15 minutes.
- Preheat air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for 3-5 minutes.
- Place chicken in air fryer basket without overcrowding and cook for 6 minutes.
- Flip chicken and continue cooking for 5-7 minutes until internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- Transfer to a plate, tent loosely with foil, and rest for 5 minutes before serving.
