- 2 cans refrigerated biscuit dough (about 16 oz each)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup cooked breakfast sausage, crumbled
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Sausage: In a skillet, cook the breakfast sausage over medium heat until it’s fully cooked and crumbled. Remove from the skillet and set aside to cool.
- Prepare the Biscuit Dough: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Open the refrigerated biscuit dough and separate each biscuit. Cut each biscuit into quarters, creating smaller dough pieces.
- Coat the Dough: In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, garlic powder, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper. Toss the biscuit pieces in the butter mixture until fully coated.
- Assemble the Monkey Bread: In a bundt pan, layer the coated dough pieces, followed by a sprinkle of cooked sausage and shredded cheddar cheese. Continue layering until all the dough, sausage, and cheese are used up.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the dough is cooked through. The cheese should be melted, and the bread should be puffy and golden.
