Make homemade Breakfast Sausage Patties with simple ingredients. Juicy, flavorful, and perfect for any breakfast meal!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 teaspoon dried sage
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon dried marjoram
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 pinch ground cloves
- 2 pounds ground Beef
Instructions
- Prepare the Meat Mixture : In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground pork with all of the spices and seasonings: sage, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, marjoram, brown sugar, red pepper flakes, and cloves. Mix everything thoroughly, using your hands or a spoon, until the spices are evenly distributed throughout the meat.
- Add the Egg and Breadcrumbs : Add the egg and breadcrumbs to the sausage mixture. Mix everything together until the egg is fully incorporated and the mixture is well-combined.
- Shape the Patties :Take a portion of the sausage mixture (about 1/4 cup) and roll it into a ball. Flatten the ball into a patty about 1/2 inch thick. Repeat the process for the remaining mixture, ensuring that each patty is uniform in size.
- Cook the Patties : Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add a small amount of oil. Once the pan is hot, add the patties. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and fully cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 160°F (71°C).
- Rest and Serve :Remove the patties from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes. This will help redistribute the juices, making them even juicier. Serve immediately with eggs, toast, or any of your favorite breakfast sides.
