Air Fryer Salmon Bites

Description

These Air Fryer Salmon Bites take just 10 minutes to make and will convert even the most stubborn fish skeptics with their crispy exterior and tender, flavorful center.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound (450g) fresh salmon fillet, skin removed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (regular or smoked)
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon dried dill (or 1 tablespoon fresh, chopped)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)
  • Cooking spray or oil mister

Instructions

  1. Pat salmon completely dry with paper towels. Remove any skin and pin bones, then cut into even 1-inch cubes.
  2. In a small bowl, mix olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, dill, salt, pepper, and cayenne (if using). Pour over salmon cubes and gently toss to coat. Let marinate for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Preheat your air fryer to 390°F (199°C) for 3 minutes.
  4. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Arrange salmon pieces in a single layer with space between each piece.
  5. Cook for 7-8 minutes, gently flipping or shaking the basket halfway through cooking time.
  6. Check for doneness – salmon should be golden brown outside, reach 145°F (63°C) internally, and flake easily with a fork while remaining moist inside.
  7. Serve immediately for maximum crispiness with your favorite dipping sauce or sides.
